Who we are
Spearheading the rescue is Nicky Monahan, Founder of Viz Whizz Dogs, based in Austin, Texas, Kim Leatherman based in Virginia, Working Dog Ranch LLC a Veteran owned business that Kim operates and has over 15 years of K9 experience.
With years of experience working with dogs, Nicky, Kim and their team bring so much to the table with their knowledge and compassion for helping all dogs and giving them the best second chance. We have a group of dedicated volunteers ready to help.

SURRENDERING YOUR DOG TO OUR RESCUE PROGRAM
We understand that surrendering your dog is a difficult and emotional decision, and we're here to support you through the process. Every dog is unique, so we review each surrender request individually.
Before completing our form, make sure your dog is up to date on vaccinations and has tested negative for heart worm. Unfortunately, we’re unable to accept dogs who test positive for heart worm. We will ask for vet records.
The more information you provide about your dog, the better we can assist and find the best possible outcome.
Once we receive your form, one of our rescue coordinators will contact you within 24–48 hours.
