do you help shelter dogs?

Absolutely! At Viz Whizz Dogs Rescue, we’re always ready to help local Vizslas in shelters or even those posted online (like Craigslist). We work directly with the shelters to make sure each dog gets fully vaccinated and spayed or neutered if needed before moving on to a new home.

do you help mixed breed vizslas?

Yes, we do! While a lot of Vizsla rescues won’t take in mixed breeds, we’re not about to turn our backs. If a dog is part Vizsla—or even looks and acts like one—we’ll do our best to step in and help.

do you help dogs with a bite history?

Yes, we consider every case. Our local coordinators reach out to learn more, ask questions, and run through evaluations. Most of the time, bites happen for understandable reasons—maybe a child missed the warning signs, or the dog was guarding something special. We look at the whole story, and take dogs in on a case-by-case basis.

DO YOU CHARGE FOR OWNER SUrRENDERS?

No, we don’t charge any fees for owner surrenders. As a non-profit, we do appreciate donations—they help us keep our rescue work going!

do you adopt dogS out of state?

Yes, for the right home we will work with adopters to help coordinate travel arrangements and all our dogs travel with Health Certificates. We DO NOT put our rescue dogs in cargo!
